The Goal
Safety Through Preparedness
To equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Emergency Response Plans and Fire Safety measures in their workplace, ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees, and enabling them to collaborate and communicate with emergency services response effectively.
Course Outline
Risk Assessment
Begin by identifying potential hazards and risks in your workplace. Evaluate the likelihood and potential severity of each scenario, such as fires, natural disasters, chemical spills, or medical emergencies.
Emergency Procedures
Develop clear and concise procedures for various emergency situations. Ensure that all employees understand these procedures through training and regular drills.
Evacuation Plans
Create evacuation plans that include escape routes, assembly points, and a headcount system to account for all employees during an emergency involving the Fire Department as observers to assess the credibility of the training
Communication
Create a crisis communication protocol with backup systems, involving employees, emergency services, and stakeholders.
First Aid & Medical Response
Designate and train employees as first aid responders. Maintain well-stocked first aid kits and emergency medical supplies on-site and create a casualty collecting point at the assembly area.
